Abstracts

The 2017 International Cancer Education Conference, organized by the American Association for Cancer Education (AACE), the Cancer Patient Education Network (CPEN), and the European Association for Cancer Education (EACE), is now accepting abstracts that emphasize cancer education curricula, programs and/or initiatives across the cancer continuum. Abstracts must relate to the conference theme, Solving Cancer Education Challenges through Innovative, Interdisciplinary, Community and Global Collaboration. Abstracts must be categorized as either Research or Innovations in Cancer Education, and they must be submitted in one of nine possible focal areas. Authors will also have the opportunity to indicate up to five keywords for their submission from a list of over 60 options.

Abstract submission is currently closed. Late-breaking abstract submission will open in June 2017.

If you have already submitted your abstract, you can still login to view and edit your abstract. Editing will become disabled after the 10 April 2017 deadline. We will provide a brief window after notifications are made during which you can edit your abstract before it is published in the Journal of Cancer Education.

You must categorize your abstract as either research or innovations in cancer education; it cannot be categorized as both.
  • Research in Cancer Education, including research conducted in the field of cancer education. Submissions in this category must conform to the Research Abstract Criteria.
  • Innovations in Cancer Education, including projects or programs developed to meet a specific need in cancer education at any point throughout the cancer continuum. Submissions in this category must conform to the Innovations Abstract Criteria.
